Boulby Weinberg LLP is thrilled to announce that its partner, Kenneth A. Fishman, has been appointed a Justice of the Ontario Court of Justice (Toronto). This prestigious appointment recognizes his exceptional legal acumen, dedication to public service, and unwavering commitment to the community.

Justice Fishman was called to the Ontario bar in 2009 and began his legal career with Rayson Bond LLP, where he practiced both family law and civil litigation, before joining Basman Smith LLP. In 2016, he brought his talent to Boulby Weinberg LLP, where he became an associate and later a valued partner, handling a wide variety of complex family law matters. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated remarkable advocacy skills, appearing before the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Superior Court of Justice, and the Ontario Court of Justice.

Career Highlights and Community Involvement

Beyond his private practice, Justice Fishman has dedicated significant time to public service and adjudication within the province. He served as a part-time vice-chair and member of the Licence Appeal Tribunal, where he adjudicated a variety of critical issues affecting the community and provincial stakeholders. Additionally, he served as a part-time member of the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board during its final year of operation, participating in vital hearings on compensation claims for victims of violent crime throughout Ontario.

A graduate of the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law, Justice Fishman has consistently upheld the highest standards of the legal profession in every role he has undertaken. Chief Justice Sharon Nicklas has assigned Justice Fishman to Toronto, where he will continue his service to the public from the bench.
